Create a New Instance

Process description

This process will create the following objects:

  • An Active Directory Lightweight Directory Services (AD LDS) instance

  • A hoozin SQL Server database

  • A SharePoint web application dedicated to hoozin

  • A SharePoint custom hoozin service application attached to the previous web application

  • A SharePoint site collection

  • A hoozin administrator user

Run the setup program

Launch the provided setup program and click the Next button when the splash screen appears.

Choose setup type

Select Create hoozin instance and click Next.

Be patient... The next screen can take a while to appear if your server has just been started.

Instance name

When the AD LDS instance screen pops up, choose an instance name, then press the TAB key to auto-complete the rest of the settings. Make sure all auto-completed settings are correct, especially the availability of the AD LDS ports.

Web Application settings

You must complete or choose the suggested Web Application host header settings, since they have only been partially filled in. A new SharePoint Web Application will be created using these parameters.

Site collection settings

The first administrator account must correspond to the account specified as a service account used when deploying the infrastructure.

Launch the installation process

Once you're ready, click the Install button to proceed with the installation process.

First connection to your portal

Browse your newly-created Web Application with the URL specified in the Web Application settings section above. You should be redirected to the hoozin login page. Use the hoozin administrator account you specified when deploying the infrastructure.
