Create a New Instance
Process description
This process will create the following objects:
An Active Directory Lightweight Directory Services (AD LDS) instance
A hoozin SQL Server database
A SharePoint web application dedicated to hoozin
A SharePoint custom hoozin service application attached to the previous web application
A SharePoint site collection
A hoozin administrator user
Make sure that a DNS entry has been created for the new web application that will be created in this step.
Run the setup program on your SharePoint Application server. The user account used to execute the setup must be a farm administrator and must have permissions to connect to your SQL server instance.
Run the setup program
Launch the provided setup program and click the Next button when the splash screen appears.
Choose setup type
Select Create hoozin instance and click Next.
Instance name
When the AD LDS instance screen pops up, choose an instance name, then press the TAB
key to auto-complete the rest of the settings. Make sure all auto-completed settings are correct, especially the availability of the AD LDS ports.
Web Application settings
You must complete or choose the suggested Web Application host header settings, since they have only been partially filled in. A new SharePoint Web Application will be created using these parameters.
Site collection settings
Make sure to use Active Directory accounts that have specified email addresses, or enter email information for these accounts before continuing. The two accounts must exist in your Active Directory and have an email address set. These will be the first and second SharePoint site collection owners.
Launch the installation process
Once you're ready, click the Install button to proceed with the installation process.
Once all steps have passed with a success status, the setup process is complete and the installation was successful.
