About hoozin apps

Community managers can access the hoozin App store to activate or deactivate apps in the community, which can be used by all members with the required permissions.

Activating an app

Click an app's icon for to view its description, product information, and screenshots.

Click the green box beneath an app's icon to install it. and click OK in the pop-up to confirm the installation. The box will turn red with an x to uninstall the app.

If the box below the app icon is blue, the app isn't available for installation in your community, but you can click it for information about the app.

Once an app is installed in the community, it will appear in the left menu.

Apps UI

The Apps UI is consistent across hoozin apps. An active app's navigation list is always displayed at the top of the community's left menu. The links available here depend on the user's profile; for example, configuration and administration links are generally visible only to community managers who have permissions to install and configure apps, and not visible to community members or visitors.

Apps' left menus are collapsed when viewed on mobile devices.

The center of the screen contains the app's main zone, where its page is loaded.

The built-in hoozin apps include Blog, Calendar, Classified Ads, , Scheduler, FAQ, Forum, Helpdesk, Project, and White Board.

The right-hand panel contains the app context zone, which displays certain actions pertaining to the active screen in the main zone. For example, if you're browsing folders in the main zone of the app, you can upload files, create folders, and author new web pages from the context zone.
